Ok so some of our suggestions are a bit cheesy or least with a tenuous link to the winter – but who needs an excuse to try out a new cocktail?? Get in-the-spirit and start mixing …

This cocktail will definitely hit the spot after a hard day on the piste ski-ing!! Mix together all the ingredients together in a blender – vodka, De Kuyper Crème de Bananes, Disaronno Amaretto, De Kuyper Crème de Cacao, single cream and half a peeled banana with some crushed ice. Pour the blended mixture into a high ball glass and garnish with a slice of banana and a sprig of mint if desired.

This is a deliciously simple cocktail mixing De Kuyper Blue Curaçao, gin, fresh lemon juice and teaspoon of egg white. All the ingredients should be mixed together with ice in a cocktail shaker and then strained into a martini style cocktail glass. How’s that for a perfect reminder for the blue skies of the summer …

Continuing with a wintery ski-ing theme, this cocktail is another way of warming yourself through after a hard day on the slopes (or at the office!!). Mix together the Disaronno Amaretto, light rum (such as Bacardi), pineapple juice and lime juice. Shake together with cubed ice and strain into a tumbler filled with crushed ice. If you want to show off, garnish with a pineapple leaf for that little extra something …

This cocktail is a gorgeous blend of vodka, De Kuyper Triple Sec and orange juice. It is the perfect antidote to a cold winter’s day that gives a splash of colour. Its pretty tasty too! Why not give it a go?

Why not dust off this classic favourite … quality endures!! Ask your Granny or Aunty Mabel! The main ingredient of a classic Snowball is Warninks Advocaat. Advocaat is a traditional drink in Holland and Warninks has been made there since 1616. Made from only 4 ingredients – brandy, egg yolks, sugar and vanilla – served neat it is like drinking alcoholic custard – yummy! But for the classic snowball, mix the Warninks Advocaat with the lime cordial and pour into an ice filled highball glass. Top up with lemonade as desired.

Wow – here’s a cocktail to finish off our recommendations this time around which we are convinced you will love … A sublime fusion of De Kuyper Apricot Brandy, lemon juice, pineapple juice and Angostura Bitters topped up with ginger ale for that exotic taste of the Caribbean. Go on … try it out!!
